We have spent almost 18 years(at least) studying, but have we really learnt something for the education we got in these 18 years???
almost every year in school we have read about environment pollution, measures to prevent it etc etc(that to in all the languages that were taught. 3 languages in karnataka). but still most of the people hardly implement what they have learnt(10 years of school education gone to the drain).
i had gone on a trek with few of my friends. it was not a well known place and like i was told by the person who took us there people hardly go there for treks. and still we could find plastic cups, covers, bottles etc lying around some places where people had taken rest. and its only people from cities who go for trek. if you tell some villager that you have come around 150 km just to walk for a few hours in the forest and climb a hill he ll surely laugh at you. inspite of being so well educated people tend to commit such mistakes(blunder in fact considering the fact that many animals like deer die after eating plastic along with grass).
speaking about trek, everyone should go on a trek atleast once in their life. it is only then that you come to know the importance of water(or something like what is happening in vijayanagar now). every drop of water is important then. we are so used to having water that we tend to waste(waste it a lot) it thinking that we ll never have water problem. but we do have acute water shortage. inspite of good rains last year KRS went dry and they had to pump water from the water bed. that is something very bad.
ok forget whats thought in school, inspite of getting news daily that there s electricity problem(during summer) there are many who just waste power. during my college i used to stay in college hostel where we had to pay a year's rent in advance which included money towards electricity too. and there were people who used to keep their light, fan, and comp on for 24x7 just because they dont have to pay extra. when will people realize that is a NATIONAL WASTE. and INDIA IS NOT A RICH COUNTRY lets stop making it poorer.
we are well educated. lets implement what we have learnt for so many years. CONSERVE power. work for a better future. THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO SAY "WHO HAS SEEN THE FUTURE?????". no one has seen the future. THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT IN TAKING MEASURES "HOPING" TO HAVE A BETTER FUTURE.
boring to read is it? well that was my thought. if every person tries to do his part towards "better future" we will definitely have one.

True boy... it really pains to see some hazardous waste littered all over the places where wild animals live!
I've also seen a lot of it in many treks; but the worst part was when i saw this in bandipur forest! one of my uncles coolly threw an empty chips packet in the forest! i had to break my head to still "educate" him about the harm he would be causing to the wildlife there!
phew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
